Starting Fertility Treatment

New Fertility Patient Orientation (see video below)

We want you to know that everyone at IVF New England is committed to doing everything possible to help you have a positive experience on your path to parenthood. Starting fertility treatment begins with your first consultation, which is a comprehensive appointment lasting up to two-hours in many cases. You will meet with one of the Reproductive Science Center’s Reproductive Endocrinologists for a detailed review of your medical records and a discussion of possible diagnoses and treatment options. You will also meet with a nurse. Recommended diagnostic tests will be discussed.

We encourage you to bring your spouse or partner to your initial visit. You will have time to ask questions or express concerns with the physician and nursing staff. Our administrative staff will also be available at this time to help you with financial and other practical non-clinical questions.

Preparing for your appointment
One week prior to your appointment, we must receive your medical records from any prior infertility testing or treatment.
Before your appointment date, you will receive an information packet from our Patient Services Department. Please fill out the female and male (if appropriate) questionnaires and return them so they arrive at least one week before your visit. Your doctor (s) referrals should also be sent to us prior to your appointment. The following forms in your New Patient Packet should also be completed, these are: “Business Policies” (a green form) and the “HIPAA Acknowledgement” Forms.

The day of your appointment we will need your current insurance card or cards.

Feel free to call us if you have any specific questions related to your first appointment. Our staff is always available to assist you and make your first time at IVF New England as comfortable and meaningful as possible.
