If you’re having difficulty conceiving you’re not alone—as many as 1 in 5 couples experiences infertility. Sadly, most of these couples don’t schedule an initial consultation because they think—or have heard—that the cost of fertility treatment is too high.

But fertility treatment may not cost you as much as you think. While the actual cost depends on your individual situation, some treatments can cost as little as a few hundred dollars. And even when costs are higher, there are a number of resources available to help pay for fertility treatment, including:

Financial Counseling at IVF New England



Have questions concerning costs, insurance benefit coverage, and bills that you have received for treatment at IVF New England?  Need to know who you should contact?

At IVF New England, we have assembled a team of resources who can help you with the financial aspect of your treatment as you go through your journey with us:

Financial Coordinators - (781) 674-1200.  Please contact our Financial Coordinators to help you with questions concerning financial information related to your treatment/cycles (for example: IUI, IVF, FET, PGD/PGS, and Third Party-DE/GC/Egg Freeze).  Our Financial Coordinators can help you:

  • navigate through the financial information on fees and approvals.
  • verify benefits for your infertility treatment/cycles.  Please note that patients are responsible for checking the infertility medication benefit directly from the prescription carrier: check your deductible, copay, co-insurance, and if there is a lifetime max on your medication.
  • notify you of financing packages such as CapexMD and ARC - and discount package such as our Military discount
  • process cycle refunds (Example: Not proceeding with cycle)
  • detail fees for service procedures/monitoring (Example: ultrasound and bloodwork)


MD Team Administrative Assistants – (781) 674-1200.  Please contact your MD Team Admin regarding the following items:

  • Notification of new insurance/change of insurance.  It is very important that you notify us of any change in your insurance information prior to your scheduled appointment.  This will help to prevent any confusion on benefits coverage between you and your insurance provider.
  • Demographic change notification.  Please let us know as soon as your demographic information has changed so we can update your information in our systems.  Some examples: name change, change of address/telephone number, marriage/partner status.
  • Referrals.  Based on the needs of your insurance plan, your MD Team Admin will communicate with you about obtaining referrals prior to starting your treatment with us. Please contact the Admins if you have any questions about this.
  • Office Visit collection of co-pays and other payments (For example: sperm freeze, ERA, consults, self-pay for Sonohysts, HSG, and Semen Analysis).  We have a secure online payment site where patients can make payments directly at .  Your MD Team Admin can also guide you if you need help with this service.


Billing Department – (781) 890-8020.  Please contact our Financial Billing Team for questions regarding:

  • Bills from Boston IVF/IVF New England – this include all Boston IVF/IVF New England bills that you receive.  Please note that our Billing Team is not part of the billing process involving other entities such as outside labs (Example: Labcorp, Quest etc.).  Please speak with the labs directly or contact your MD Team Nurse (see below) if you have questions regarding these bills.
  • Storage fees- embryos, eggs and sperm
  • Itemized Refunds – refunds that are not treatment cycle refunds (For example: Consults, Semen Analysis, Storage)


Andrology Department – (781) 674-1200

  • Specimen Discards: Patients may wish to discard any specimen they have remaining in storage (embryos, eggs, or sperm).  Please contact our Andrology Lab and our staff will review the process with you.


Clinical Team/Nursing – (781) 674-1200

  • Medication prior authorizations.  If a prior authorization is required for coverage of your medications, our MD Team nurses will work with you and your insurance company provider to obtain authorization for medication that you need to take during your treatment cycle.
  • Outside lab bills. As mentioned above, depending on your treatment, you may receive bills from outside labs such as Labcorp and/or Quest.  Please contact these labs directly if you have questions about their bills or contact our MD Team Nurse if the labs direct you to us
  • Questions about cryopreserved embryo, egg, sperm quality/quantity.  This information is automatically sent to you a few days after your treatment cycle.  If you have questions, please contact your MD Team nurse.
